Exuviated: Morpheus orphan
10/04/12 || Curt
It always pisses me off when I have to look up the name of a band I’m about to listen to in a dictionary. For those of you, like me, who don’t know the definition of Exuviated, it is: “To shed (a skin or similar outer covering)”. Kind of like a snake I guess.
I know Morpheus is a Greek god, but damned if I know if he was an orphan or not.
After having to look up the name of the band in the dictionary, I
honestly was not expecting much out of Morpheus Orphan. So, imagine my
surprise when I heard some awesome Amon Amarth style mello-death. I
mean, the songs aren’t quite in the same league, but they will have you
banging your head and hitting the repeat button more often than you
would think with such an unwieldy band name and title. I look forward to
hearing more from these guys.
8/10. A pleasant surprise.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
